When we conducted a family beach cleanup at the spot where the day before we had seen baby loggerhead sea turtles climbing through plastics to make their way to the Caribbean, several of us collected multiple bags of nothing but plastic and rubber shoes, which we disposed of back on the mainland. We'll be on the lookout for shoes made from biodegradeable and eco friendly materials, but we have one favorite to share with you for now below. Sundance & Friends is a small, family business run by some very warm and kind friends. They make beautiful, hand crafted sheepskin and leather shoes, including really sweet and cozy baby moccasins (I'm partial to the full style as they stayed on our babies' feet better). I love both my Colorado moccasins and my deep purple Santa Fe moccasins too. They also carry handmade jewelry, clothing, metal art, woodworks, pottery and more.
